This program provides the opportunity for interaction and conversation with elected and appointed officials on the practice of leadership. We examine how the tools of power, authority, influence etc. are applied to advance leadership and also critically how individuals can engage in the activity of leadership to mobilize others to make progress on adaptive challenges within the context of the organization or environment they operate in. Leadership must be connected to problem solving and this program seeks to sharpen the leadership edge of the public official to render service and solve problems.
