The word leadership has become quite trending in today’s world. With the frequency of it’s use in our daily vocabulary, you would think we already have enough of it, but interestingly organizations, communities and even nations are constantly in search of it. What exactly is leadership? Is it the same thing as having authority, occupying a position or possessing certain traits such as charisma, courage or eloquence. When we hear commonly said, every thing rises and falls on leadership; what exactly does that mean? When some people hear the word leadership, they immediately think of persons in positions of authority in government or in some other esteemed capacity. Is leadership exclusive to only a few persons or can it be practiced by all. We will attempt to examine leadership not as a station or individual trait, but as an activity that you do.
